Video email marketing is a very powerful way to continue to build relationships with your prospects and future clients and customers after they’ve opted into your email list.
When marketers included a video in an email, the click-through rate increased by 200% – 300% (Forrester)
Include video in your email marketing campaigns or funnels in 3 steps:
Record your video either on your smartphone, a DSLR or a compact system camera like I use.
Then host your video either on YouTube which is free or a paid service like Vimeo or Wistia (this is what I use and recommend). What you’re really looking to do here is to get a link from wherever you host you video. You’re going to need this for the third step.
Thirdly, embed your video into your email. Include an image in your email message at the top. Choose something that looks like a thumbnail image perhaps even including a video play button so that it prompts the recipient to want to click. Then use the URL link you obtained in the previous step and link it to the image within your email. When the reader clicks the image, your video will play.
